The Arcam room was buzzing at this years High-End show in Munich with a number of the newer products on display. The show as a whole was as busy as ever and full of fabulous sounds from systems from a thousand Euros or so up to lottery-winning money.
Arcam kept things very "real" though with the new Solo Neo. Driving KEF speakers the Neo had attendees gripped with a demonstration of it's streaming capabilities showing the differing sound qualities available with varying bit rates of music files. Using the aged but still captivating "Pink Panther" theme by Henry Mancini the improvement with increasing data rate was clear for all to hear.
Also on demo was the top-of-the-line AV888/P777 home cinema pre-amp / processor combination. Again using KEF speakers the system had no problem rasining the roof when required with plenty of volume and subtlety available, no matter what the movie.
