Reflecting Arcam's huge investment in DVD technology the company is the proud recipient of no less than three awards in this years HiFi Choice Awards. The DiVA DV135 picks up commendation in the sub £1000 disc player category whilst its big brother the DiVA DV137 scores in the £1000 to £2000 selection. Also receiving honours, the Solo Music system received a silver award in the one box system section.

Solo Movie 5.1 HiFi news product of the Year

As a fitting tribute to the concept and design of the Solo Movie 5.1 UK respected UK HiFi magazine HiFi News has awarded the unit its converted "Product of the Year" award. Summing up the unit the magazine commented "It's clean and accurate sound, universal playback and excellent DVD picture mark it as something special and the fabulous interface will be a joy to use for the whole family. As a one-box AV entertainment solution, it's a winning package."

Arcam featured at Tokyo International Audio Show 07

Tokyo International Audio Show 07

The Tokyo International Audio Show is one of the most important exhibitions in the Far East and this year Arcam's Japanese distributor, Denon labs, chose the show to premier the DV139 Universal disc player. In a system featuring the FMJ C31 pre-amp and four P1 mono bloc amplifiers the DV139 wowed the crowds with its thoroughly musical performance on CDs and SACDs. Arcam Brand Manager Geoff Meads took the long trip to Tokyo to present the system during scheduled demonstrations at the show to packed crowds.

Launch of new Arcam distributor in Russia

To celebrate its new distribution partnership with Arcam, Russian distributor Barnsley Sound Organisation staged a spectacular event in Moscow. Featuring presentations by Arcams Export Sales manager Scott Campbell and Brand Manager Geoff Meads the evening included product demonstrations and live music for the 55 dealers and press who attended. To ensure the new partnership started with a bang the evening concluded with a bespoke firework display!
